What fortunate children are those who can be in Rachel’s school! I had a Waldorf home preschool and passed the torch to Rachel some years ago as a mentor and colleague. I could not be happier as my successor has out shown all I could imagine. "There is no place I'd rather have my daughter be than Green Gables. The time outdoors, the animals, the seasonal craft projects, cooking, stories and puppet plays make a wonderfully rich curriculum. However, the most wonderful thing about Green Gables is Miss Rachel. She has been such a warm, steady presence in my daughter's life for the past two years. "Our daughter has been at Green Gables for 3 years. We love that one of Green Gables’ focuses is on outdoor play. Our daughter has a wonderful day swinging, jumping, climbing, and running like children should. The many animals in Ms. Rachel’s backyard are tended to daily as part of the Green Gables rhythm. Ms. Rachel guides the children with meaningful tasks like feeding the animals, sweeping, creating a straw bale house, watering plants, etc. Green Gables focuses on togetherness, nature, and the wondrous spirit of children.
