Our Approach
Everything we do follows the rhythm of the year, a Waldorf-inspired flow that carries children from outward play to inward quiet.
We teach the rhythm by living it.
Rhythm is essential to our days, weeks and year. A predictable, gentle flow gives young children security. They know what comes next, so they can relax into play, work, story and song. Transitions happen seemingly without effort.
Our curriculum is rich and gentle, woven from songs and puppet plays, watercolor painting and beeswax modeling, baking, and the daily care of our animals and garden.

The rhythm of a day
A gentle arc from free play into craft and circle, a wholesome snack, then out to play once more before story gathers us in. Children always know what comes next.
The rhythm of a week
Baking day, painting day, garden day: each day carries its own handwork, so the week has a shape little ones can feel.
The rhythm of a year
We follow the seasons and their festivals, from spring planting to the candlelit quiet of the winter hearth.
There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing.
Children play outside in rain, snow and sun. Mud and puddles, frost and falling leaves are not interruptions to the day. They are the day. Fresh air and real weather build healthy, resilient, joyful children.
